About Ellen Ugelvik
Ellen Ugelvik is pianist and leader of the Arne Nordheim centre for artistic research at the Norwegian Academy of Music. She gives concerts as soloist and chamber musician at international festivals for contemporary music and has commissioned and premiered more than 200 works. Ugelvik has won the Norwegian Grammy three times and was in 2016 rewarded the title ‘Performer of the year’ by the Norwegian Composers Society. Besides her work as a performer she has been commissioned to create music for dance and theatre.
