About Mattis Kleppen
Mattis Kleppen, bassplayer, composer, artistic researcher, currently employed as a professor at Nord university. He was initially educated in jazz music, but has had a great interest in traditional music from around the world. Especially the music of the Telemark region of Norway and West Africa has been occupying him. He has used this music as the basis for developing new ways of playing the bass.
